Participants should possess basic math skills. Though not required, it is highly recommended to take the SPC module or have an understanding of SPC prior to taking MSA.

This one-day overview is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the importance of MSA in controlling and improving the production process and to give students a practical knowledge of using statistical methods in analyzing the measurement system.

The approaches discussed and employed in this course are consistent with the intent and guidelines in the MSA 4th Edition manual issued by GM, Ford and FCA through the AIAG.

tick Be able to define and understand a measurement system and the causes of variation, as well as qualify the sources of variation.

tick Be able to analyze this data to improve the measurement system, design or choose appropriate systems for measurement, data collection and use, and to maintain these measurement systems over the life of the manufacturing process with which they are used.
